Men without women becomes very thematically really important in all of these stories right and as usual with Hemingway there's one way to look at it. The major says the major argument is that a man shouldn't marry why not because if you love somebody and you lose them it hurts so much that it's almost not worth it or that it maybe it's not worth it. It displays kind of the the weakness men have when they're living in this sort of isolation.
