I Love Fatherhood and I Love Novels About Fatherhood

I've always loved reading fiction about families and I'm interested in realist fiction which is often about families so I do like reading about fatherhood though I admit that I'm often more drawn to stories that are written by women. Less is expected of fathers in our society but one of the things that is expected of men is masculinity right so I think that's one of the thing that really gets in the way of fatherhood and novels are a great way to explore that. But this comes with the caveat that I'm less interested in or I have less patience for books that are kind of focused on the humiliations of fatherhood when it comes up against traditional ideas of masculinity.
