The Revolt of the Public Makes Authoritarianism Almost Imperative

In the old democracies, i would say, a the revolt of the public makes authoritarianism almost impossible. Even within the mainstream country, there is a fragmentation of politics. What i worry about is that nihilism. And if you want to see the most extreme version of nihilism and power, look at isis. I mean, people who basically were in revolt against the modern world as it appeared to them. But these were very modern people. These were not primitive people. They hated history.
