Halloween Is a Lot of Fun!

The Romans had a late summer festival to honour their goddess of fruit, Pomona. Young unmarried people would try to bite into an apple that was floating in water or hanging from a string on a line. The first one to successfully munch into the fruit was supposed to be the next to get married. That festival with the apple became incorporated into sour and then it stayed with us for Halloween. Americans spend half a billion dollars on each year? That's right, they spend that on pet costumes,. They spend over four billion on human costumes.
