Is Everybody Meant to Be Like Everyone Else?

In the 19 fifties, everybody wants to be like everyone else. What happens if you have a child with disability? Well, we know eric ericson, the father of child psychology, has a babyan who's born with downsindrum. They whisked the child off to an institution, never even telling anybody that that child was still alive. And so this young man, a neil, hadnee when he died. He had never met his siblan. He had not seen his father for however long he lived. It's in that context, where everybody's supposed to be normal, that we ended up really marginalizing people.
