Many studies have shown that there's a lot of hetrogeneity because of all these factors that go to our behaviour. So with that in mind, if we're taking that seriously, then thinking about average treatment effects is really not the way to be going in the future. We can see that results vary by context, and results vary by group within the same kind of sample. But rather than saying, it doesn't replicate in this binery way of, did it replicate? No, well, yes, we're saying, can we go and see what is driving these patterns of behaviour in different settings?"
