The special counsel's office has spent over $9.2 million on both probes into Trump since his appointment in November, according to the first public accounting of Jack Smith's expenses. Robert Mueller and other DOJ offices spent nearly $32 million during the year's long investigation into whether Russia swayed the 2016 election for Donald Trump. The president made clear his displeasure with the indictment he's already facing from Jack Smith and his team in the classified documents case.
