Casting Through Ancient Greece

The Myths of the Bronze Age

Most of the accounts in myth that we will see has rooted in the Bronze Age period. These stories include fanciful elements such as gods and creatures, but they are often conveying deeper moral and ethical messages to archetypes. For an entertaining and easy-to-grast account of the myths, I would highly recommend Stephen Fry's books, Mythos and Heroes. We also have a great many modern accounts that are available to us today. The oldest, the Minoans on Crete, and the Mycenaeans on mainland Greece.
