Private military companies seem to be very close to, and indeed arguably funded by, or managed by the Ministry of Defence. These were set up some time back in part because they wanted to be able to do the same things as Wagner but without having Pragorsian involved. So we have organizations like Patriot and Sheet Shield, which we've seen not just in Syria, but for example, Patriot was in the Central African Republic and so forth. But again, these are also at the moment providing sources of, you know, relatively small numbers, but relatively competent fighters in Ukraine.
