Greg Loonis: Why do we procrastinate? There are a handful of reasons why I procrastinate. And hopefully, there'll be something that you can sort of take in and look for in your own day to day life. The first big reason is lack of engagement. This is probably like the most common reason for procrastinating. It happens all the time. But it is a massive problem, especially if that task needs to be done. You're not intrinsically motivated to move towards that action. Or you could add an external source of pressure, some kind of extrinsic motivator like a reward.
