After the global energy crisis of 1973 and 1979, Denmark decided it was time to fundamentally reshape their economy. The state of green is a public-private partnership funded partly by the Danish government via the annual budget bill. Through cooperation of the public and private sector, Denmark now boasts a resilient and largely sustainable energy sector with relatively little impact on the climate.
