Film Is a Visual Medium

The Tennessee section was meant to only be one episode, but in making it, the actor who played Jasper did such a wonderful job that we found ourselves creating story on the fly. And ultimately, we didn't realize what we were doing, but we built a whole hour based just around and then completed the second half of the episode with Peter Mullen's performance. So I don't know, intentionally, would never do that. Would never doThat. If I just was concerned about telling stories, I'd be writing novels. Yet, I do think you need a skeleton to hang the visuals off of.
