The Apostle's Analogy to the Footrace
Paul the Apostle had an analogy that he used time and time again in his epistles. And it was the analogy or the illustration of the footrace. Notice what he said to them in verse 7. He said, you were running well. But after he left, even though they had been running well, there were those who came in and added to the gospel message. That caused them to be hindered in the race of grace that they'd been running.
