Collider - What's Going on in the Colider?

In the colider, you can't break protons open by smashing them against each other. That's what we do when you get quork quork interactions directly. You don't really get this new state of matter the same way. So corks co sort of like float around freely. And maybe even like treating corks, the corks don't have a chance toke muck around and do all sorts of interesting things that they couldn't otherwise. But it's really tricky to figure out if that's what's actually ing.
