What Are the Types of Hauntings?
The official Winchester Mystery House website lists three different kinds of hauntings that are reported within the mansion's walls. First, you have the residual haunting, a very popular type of haunt where a spirit or an energy has kind of left an imprint on the space. There's also the even more creepy intelligent hauntings; there seems to be a consciousness behind the paranormal act and the spirit is attempting to interact with the living world.
