A lot of the be quests were formulated around finding shimmer. That was my only kind of gripe with the with the tail, because i knew that a shimmer was a very valuable resource but they didn't really give any directives as to how to locate them. So by asking around, you actually ended up opening up more quests rather than gaining more information on how to progress in finding shimmer.
