The Importance of Investing in a Big Opportunity
When I came here to Edwards, it was energizing. It forced me to develop a whole new muscle because I thought of M&A as one thing. Now it's very much like when you're going this early, you have to really believe in the opportunity. We're not talking about capturing little shares. We're like, if we're the leader in this really big opportunity, how does it change patient lives? And it's one that energizes us. It energizes the companies we invest in. That's why they get excited. A lot of those people, that's what gets them going.
