Getting Off That Treadmill
If you're trying to make a change in your life, it can be really good to lower the demand you're making on yourself. Experiment with that change in a small, incremental way and sort of expect it to feel uncomfortable. The challenge is learning to tolerate that discomfort. It's not actually agony. If it's agony, that's a warning sign you probably should take adfferent path. So if you are interested in getting into writing, say, find 20 minutes, do it for 20 minutes, deal with the discomfort that arises, and then stop, and then walk away and get back to your other stuff.
