In the Gospel of Luke, our Lord has the master saying that he expects that there should have been some interest on the talents that he gave to his servants. It seems like the interest is being held up as something positive in that example. And then lend expecting nothing back. The question becomes not, is taking interest itself unjust, or is it a particular amount of interest that becomes unjust? Right.
