Learning From Your Mistakes
I think the biggest thing is to allow yourself to make mistakes. When I was learning languages, I didn't participate in conversations between native speakers in Spanish and French because I didn't want to make a mistake. The difficult thing with comedy and language is sometimes you don't know that you failed. You've got to always be ready to learn, and don't take it too badly if you realize that you've made a mistake. Cheat and cut corners is a note that I wrote here. Can you really cheat? Is it? And what do we mean by that?
