Zuzu Suchan has been writing about Russia's demographic abyss and its economy. He says the whole western world is facing a demographic decline, but Russia is an exception. The population of Russia could start to shrink by one million a year due to war in Ukraine. And he argues that many older citizens who are unable to work will have huge implications for the economy 50 years time.
