Introduction
This week, the 48th red flag exercise took place at Nellis Air Force Base. 3,000 service members and 100 aircraft participated in this year's red flag exercise. This year's exercise focused on strengthening the US capabilities to protect the Indo-Pacific theater. The key flashpoint is Taiwan; they were conducting a multi-nation exercise about the defense of Taiwan just outside of Nellis air base. A balloon of the Chinese Communist Party with the spy platform attached to it floats next door. They don't think we're stupid? Of course not.
