With the arrival of Pearl Jam's 10 Nirvana's Never Mind and Soundgarden's Bad Motorfinger, the hair metal of the 80s was dead. Suddenly, flannel shirts, Doc Martens, shredded jeans and second-hand guitars, replace spandex, eyeliner, mile-high hair, and sharp pointy guitars.
