Philippine American War - The First Act

The first act, really, of what becomes the Philippine American War is the Americans essentially colluding with the Spanish to surrender the city of Manila. And just like in Cuba, we then immediately betray them once the Spanish are defeated. So you know, again, there's bad people everywhere. But yeah, so the Americans have taken Manila and, you know, the Filipinos who believed that the Americans were going to essentially do for them what what the French did for the Americans in the American Revolution are horrified and betrayed.
