How to Sign a Channel State Update in Lightning

In Lightning, you need to be able to sign a channel state update. So we essentially have three different levels of how we approach this. The first level is that we assume the wallet is open. We can attach as many clients as we want to a single node. And so that is sort of the multi-headed, hydra model of thinking about this. I don't like the fact that it's an out of bound solution for aynchronous payment or offline payments in Lightning. That's why we're trying to promote a protocol that we call asynchronous payment.
