Scotland is considering whether to open a huge new oil field in the north sea. The campbell field is northwest of the shetland islands and in very deep water. It was discovered almost 20 years ago, and the main company looking to jail there says the field could deliver a hundred and 70 million barrels of oil over a 25 year lifespan. People are watching this very closely and pressuring the government to leave that hole under the sea.
