The researchers believe that there is a societal stigma surrounding the idea of men receiving timely treatment so as to not appear weak in any way. But more importantly, if men are more susceptible to severe cold and flu symptoms, it's because of the stereotypes surrounding man flu. And maybe that starts with getting treatment if you feel a little under the weather.
