Pure Mathematics Is Applied to Modeling the Natural World
In our current fundamental theory of physics that we've been working on, he last couple of years with great success. One of the things that's just amazing is that a lot of areas of pure mathematics have not really seemed like they're going to be applicable in our models. But it turns out there's a really good reason to care. Is probably how niverseis made. It's sort of interesting to see, over the years mathematics gets developed, and then mathematics gets used. And there's usually a delay between the mathematics being developed and mathematics being used but it's interesting to see what mathematics has actually been used.
