Introduction
Transhumanizing is something that interests me because the word was actually coined by Dante in the Divine Comedy. It occurs at the end of the purgatory when with Beatrice he is preparing to move into the heavenly realms of the paradise. He coins the word transhumare to begin to suggest how that might be possible. And what's so fascinating is that nowadays the way that the word is used is with subtle distortions of Dante's original intent. The key element of transhumanizing that Dante thought was the heart of it has got lost.
