There is a slight contrast, I think, with talking about the ideas of the billionaires who are funding this to some extent. Bezos is interesting. He has his Blue Origin company that have just been given a large contract for a second option for NASA's return to the Moon. But he talks about almost as space as a way to preserve a slightly odd utopian vision of Earth. So it's almost this return to nature vision that goes back and there's a long strand of this in particularly sci-fi in the 1950s.
