Los Angeles Housing Costs Spiral Out of Control
Housing costs in Los Angeles are up to a million dollars per unit. This is because of the loan comhousing tax credit, which helps fund housing projects. But developers can't syndicate and underwrite these transactions themselves. So they have to hire teams of lawyers who do all the work for them. And that adds significant amounts of cost on top of what's already been added by private investment.
