The Importance of Identity and Identity in America

Our collective memory of these events is anchored by the imagery associated with them. And that's why i think this week is so important. Because the ichonography coming out of our nation's capital of a mob of people invading the us. Capital building is arguably the most stunning imagery to come out of america in the past decade. It began with thi selecting af reality t v star to the presidency, and it ends with this angry mob invading the us Capitol trying to keep him in office. I am struggling to try to imagine how we begin to pull ourselves out of this. The idea of American exceptionalism has been just so tarnished, so damaged.
