The History of the IBM 7094
In the late 90s, a team at Pompeo Fabra University in Barcelona began working on Project Elvis. The goal of Project Elvis was to make bad singers sound better in a karaoke booth. In 2002, the prototype was officially named Vocaloid and, as a codename, they called it Daisy. Hadeki Kimochi is known as the father of Vocaloid. He found himself a part of this joint venture with singing synthesizer technology.
