What's the Significance of Seriality?
The significance with dickens and pickwick papers is that it's the first thing that was rewritten serial exactly. And people don't, when people talk about victorian seriality, they almost always exclusively talk about novels. But like, there were a crazy number of, like, newspapers and journals that, like, anarchists and socialists and communist, like a a newspapers were being published all the time. They ran into some problems with seriality that we, that we have now, which is so fascinating.
