I wonder if people are quite sensitive to sensory information in their environment or they're in a really stressful, overwhelming environment. If having interception differences in terms of not picking up on those cues and that information, I actually wonder if that's self protective in a way. The threat isn't coming from an internal stimuli, it's coming from external. So yeah, I would agree with you, I think it is protective to kind of turn down the volume on some of those internal sensations so that there's more space or we can be more reactive to our external stimuli.
