Anne charmantier is an evolutionary icologist at a huge research centre, the c e f e and montpellier, southern france. She says proving evolution has taken place is incredibly hard. Very often we don't see any visual evidence of evolution. So we have to go behind the scenes. Anne watchs are nest boxes used by two types of garden bird common in europe, blutes and grates. They are far from immune to the threats of the changing climate. In 20 19, for example, there was a heat wave.
