If you don't have the metrics of your dreams, evaluate what you already have at your company. You could identify users that go into your test and control treatments before the A.B. testing has even started. The example at Comcast where we launched a 4U homepage, we built it with three engineers. That was done because we leveraged a lot of what we already had to work for A.b. testing.
