Most of the repeating fast radio burst that we see, we detect them as much, much fainter popses. But it seems like a difference in scale kind of like a Nova compared to a supernova. So is the I'm trying to think like is was this flash that came from the Milky Way a hint to a larger mechanism that is more catastrophic that's happening farther away? Well, perhaps once when we talk about mechanisms producing fast radio burst, there's two levels - macroscopic properties and detailed physics.
