My Anchor Holds Within the Void
When we go through difficult times, we need something to stabilize us. The image in that song is of the songwriter anchoring himself to a rock and not being able to be blown away. And as Christians, we put our faith in God and he is the rock. He is the one to whom we've anchored our faith. There's just such comfort. We are so well served by hymns, especially in other songs as well,. That we can sing in our sorrows and that give us the words we need.
