In larger organizations, the culture is already to have services between. But we never think about breaking those down inside those big umbrellas. So if you're in an organization where I need to break up this monolith for scaling purposes, but I'm not willing to treat it as third parties, then a distributed monolith is probably going to be the correct answer.
