Gatsby's funeral was held in a rain-soaked cemetery. The mourners included Gatsby's father, the Lutheran minister and his servants. A man with owl-dyed glasses who had been marveling over Gatsby’s books at the library helped to lead the procession through the soggy ground. He said: ‘Owl-y spoke to me about a gate. I couldn't get to the house'
