This episode is about the challenge of learning English. But it could apply to any challenge that you face in your life, especially ones that can feel overwhelming and insurmountable. I'm going to use a film as a case study for understanding the importance of motivation and attitude when dealing with difficult challenges. And even if mountain climbing isn't your thing, I hope that you stick with this episode and listen to the whole thing. It should be quite a good one, even if you're not into rock climbing.

A film club episode about the award-winning documentary film "Touching the Void" about a mountain climbing expedition which goes wrong. It's an amazing true story and there are lots of things to learn from it, including lessons about motivation and attitude towards any challenge. The film is available on Netflix and DVD. Check it out and use this episode to help you understand it all.
