Kuhn: Karl Popper's falsification, though it surely occurs, does not happen with or simply because of the emergence of an anomaly. Instead, it is a subsequent and separate process that might equally well be called verification. I would hear substitute the word support for what Kuhn calls 'joint support' If you're assuming the word support means I've justified this theory is true then clearly that would be wrong,. but there's no reason why the word support should mean that.
