Preemptible VMs Are a Great Match for MapReduce

Running MapReduce on preemptible VMs is a great match because MapReduce will be managing the fact that if a job fails, it will retrial around. So you don't need to add anything else. Just say, for instance, maybe you will have an instance group and in that instance template, you will say, oh, this VM should be preempted. That's a good savings. Yeah. And it's pretty much a regular machine. They can last for up to 24 hours. Which is really cool. But yeah, if they fall over and you're able to just be like, okay, that's fine. We'll just try again for this thing. Great
