The Downtrodden Gumshoe Detective
Murder mystery noir about a series of murders that happen near a river in this very small town in rural China. Set in the early 90s so there's a whole sort of you don't really expect to see a murder mystery set in that kind of setting. A lot of it becomes about his sort of fraying state of mind and certain parallels that are occurring between some of the suspects but mostly it's just incredibly characterful I think.
