The Second Law of Thermodynamics
Physicists have struggled over whether the direction of time will flip over. Stephen Hawking, as recently in the mid-1980s wrote a paper about it. We know now we're almost sure that it'll never reach a maximum size and then re-collapse on itself. But not too long ago, we didn't know this for sure. It was suggested that when the universe reaches maximum expansion and re-collapses again, back down to a big bang, does everything then reverse in time? And will we even our own arrows and our heads flip over?
