Why Does It Matter if Only the Really Sick Are Buying the Comprehensive Health Insurance?
The problem was when they went to making people having to pay most of the cost of the more expensive policy guess what happened. People who were younger, healthier, not prone to major illness were less likely to buy the more generous coverage. And so as a result the average cost that this sort of number of doctors visits hospital visits of people buying that more generous coverage went up. After a couple years like American Airlines Harvard had to stop offering that policy altogether.
