In those same decades leading up to 1959 just like you had a severe crackdown in this country on the Robeson, the purported black Stalin of the United States, W. E. V. Du Bois joins the Communist Party in 1961. And their comrades likewise on the island where U. S. Edgemone was in place in name and otherwise you had a crackdown on the leadership of what we would call the Communist Party. But in any case, this rather unique relationship of Cuba to people of African descent is continued as I suggested a moment or two ago, of post 1959 with tubeless relationship to African liberation struggles in Algeria and Poland.
