PTSD - What Is PTSD?

PTSD is a constellation of symptoms that occur greater than one month following a traumatic event. Interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, physical assault, or military combat are the most likely to lead to PTSD. There's no consensus on how to prevent PTSD. Early interventions include psychological treatment and debriefing.
