Even the smartest forecaster has no idea what the biggest economic story of the next 10 years is going to be. And along the same lines, innovation as well. It always looks like we haven't innovated in 10 or 20 years because it takes 10 and 20 years before innovation is an obvious success. So just like we can't predict the bad things, we also can't predictions the good things.
